Kashmir Solidarity Day – 05th February 2023: Kashmir Valley is called Heaven on Earth. One of the most popular tourist destinations in Pakistan is Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir had been a province under the British rule of India since 1846, but when the continent was divided into the independent states of India and Pakistan in 1947, a dispute over Kashmir erupted. The fact that there are many Muslims in the area may have led Pakistan to believe that the people of Kashmir would want to join their country, but on October 26, 1947, Kashmir seceded from Pakistan, fearing for the safety of its Maharaja joined India.

He had previously wanted to make Kashmir an independent state, but when invaders from Pakistan now invaded his province, he decided that Kashmir needed strong military protection from India. Today, Pakistan refers to the Indian-controlled parts of Kashmir as “occupied territory” and India also refers to parts of Kashmir as such.
