On November 9, 2021, a notification was sent out regarding the Utility and Judicial Allowance for the Office of the Advocate General by Gilgit Baltistan GB Secretariat Finance Department. GB Secretariat Finance Department of the Government of Gilgit Baltistan has released a Notification regarding Utility and Judicial Allowance for the Office of the Advocate General on November 9, 2021. The saif notification in full is as follows:
In line with the decision of the Honorable Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Court and as a result of approval by the Gilgit-Baltistan Cabinet, which occurred on December 4, 2021, the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan has been pleased to approve the payment of judicial and utility allowances to advocates, general office workers, at GB, effective from.

The expenses detailed above are eligible for reimbursement, subject to the Supreme Appellate Court’s decision in CPLA No. 17/2018, which is pending appeal. If the Supreme Appellate Court of GB renders a negative decision on CPLA, any reimbursements on the account above allowances will be made starting December 19, 2016.
The below allowances will be admissible only to those who filed a petition for arrears payment in accordance with the GB Chief Court’s decision.
The expenses detailed above are eligible for reimbursement, subject to the Supreme Appellate Court’s decision in CPLA No. 17/2018, which is pending appeal. If the Supreme Appellate Court of GB renders a negative decision on CPLA, any reimbursements on the account above allowances will be made starting December 19, 2016.
During the extraordinary leave, it will not be accepted. During the term of suspension, it shall not be considered. During his/her assignment outside the Department or while traveling on a ship, it is not permissible for staff to take time off. The cost of these benefits shall be met from within the department’s 2021-22 budget.
